5 Ways Teachers Can Use AI This Term

Practical, classroom-ready ways Nigerian teachers can save hours every week with AI — no coding required.

Start small, win early

AI will not replace you, but it will quietly give you back hours every week. Here are five places to start this term.

1. Lesson planning

Describe your topic, class level and time available, and ask for a lesson plan with objectives, activities and a closing assessment. Then edit it to match your scheme of work.

2. Differentiated worksheets

Ask for the same worksheet at three levels — support, core and challenge — so every learner gets work at the right level.

3. Marking support and feedback

Paste a rubric and a sample answer, and ask for constructive feedback in your own tone. You stay the final judge of the grade.

4. Parent and staff communication

Draft newsletters, permission letters and progress notes in seconds, then personalise the details.

5. Assessment questions

Generate multiple-choice and short-answer questions from your notes, including answer keys, to build quick knowledge checks.

Rule of thumb: never paste a learner's personal data into a public AI tool, and always review output before it reaches your class.

Want the full playbook? Our AI for Teachers 2.0 programme walks you through all of this over six weeks, with live clinics and weekend projects.
