1. Lesson planning in minutes, not evenings
Give the assistant your topic, class level, lesson duration and curriculum, and ask for a lesson plan with objectives, starter activity, main task and assessment. Then edit it — you remain the professional judgement in the room.
Better prompt: "Write a 40-minute JSS2 Basic Science lesson plan on the water cycle, with a starter question, one group activity using items found in a Nigerian classroom, and three assessment questions."
2. Differentiated worksheets for mixed-ability classes
Ask for the same worksheet at three levels — support, core, stretch — from one set of learning objectives. This is the task that takes teachers longest by hand and that AI handles best.
Always check the answer key yourself. Assistants make arithmetic and factual slips, and a wrong key costs you more time than it saved.
